Refund/Returns Policy

Camarc Welding Equipment Ltd – Refunds & Returns Policy

1. Scope & Eligibility

This policy applies to products purchased from Camarc Welding Equipment Ltd, including:

  • New and refurbished welding machines and consumables

  • Workshop tools and safety equipment

  • Machine hire services (e.g. short‑term hire)

2. Right to Cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations)

  • You have 14 calendar days from the day after delivery to cancel most goods ordered online.

  • Simply inform us via email (admin@camarc.co.uk) or telephone (01530 831444) within this period.

  • If exercise of this right is valid, return the product unused and in its original condition.

  • We will issue a full refund (including original delivery charges) within 14 days of receiving the item.

Exemptions:
Cancellation rights do not apply to:

  • Products that are clearly used, installed, modified, or not in original resale condition.

  • Items made to order or customised.

  • Consumable products (e.g. gas nozzles, electrodes, wire), once the seal/package is opened.

  • Hire or repair services which begin immediately upon order confirmation.

3. Faulty, Damaged, or Mis-described Goods

If an item is:

  • Faulty on arrival

  • Damaged during delivery

  • Not as described in the order/listing

Please notify us within 7 calendar days of receipt. We will arrange for:

  • Repair, or

  • Replacement, or

  • A Full Refund, as required.

Returned items must be unused and in their original packaging unless already faulty.

4. Repairs & Hire Services

Repairs

  • No right to cancel once the repair begins.

  • If the service was not delivered with reasonable skill & care or you are dissatisfied:

    • Contact us within 7 days of notification that the repaired item is ready.

    • We will attempt re‑repair, or offer a partial/full refund at our discretion.

  • ​

Hire (Rental)

  • Cancellations are permitted before the equipment is dispatched.

  • No refund is available for cancellations made after dispatch or during a hire term.

5. Returns Procedure

  • Email or call us with your reason for return and order details.

  • We will issue a Returns Reference Number along with return instructions.

  • You are responsible for securely shipping the item back within 14 days; ideally via tracked delivery.

  • Once the return is received and inspected, the refund will be processed within 14 days.

6. Refund Method

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless another approach has been agreed. Delivery charges are refundable only when the return is due to an error on our part (e.g. faulty item, incorrect item sent).

7. Exceptions & Additional Information

  • Returns for faulty or misdescribed goods must include proof of purchase.

  • If returned goods are not in resale condition, we may deduct an amount from the refund.

  • Consumables, after packaging opened, are non‑returnable unless brand-new and sealed.

  • Custom components, modifications, calibration services, and bespoke orders are not eligible for return.

Customer Rights under UK Law

  • Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 include repair, replacement, or refund if products are faulty.

  • For distance or online purchases, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you the 14-day cooling-off period.
